SALVATION

The Lord put forth His hand to me,
I grabbed it for eternity.
The days of sorrow, days of sadness
are now replaced with hope and gladness.
His many deeds are a blessing
since that day I began confessing.
The future becomes bright and clear
since I started to believe in the One so dear!
Even though I did not deserve,
the Lord put forth His hand to preserve.
Many times He has knocked at my door;
this time I opened it forever more.
There is still much work to be done;
but I have no fear for He has won.
