Remembering back to my childhood and the importance of Sunday Worship, I guess I got lost somewhere along the way. Over the span of my life, I have spent more time away from God than walking with God. I never stopped believing there was a God nor the gift of Jesus Christ. I just stopped going to Sunday Service, reading the Bible, and obeying the commandments. I was a sinner. The Bible is very clear on sin: God hates sin. God found a way through Jesus for us to be forgiven. Wow! God loves me and forgives my sin. All I had to do was accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Proverbs 28:13 says: “People who conceal their sin will not prosper. But whoever confesses and renounces them find mercy.

I am back on track now. God is good, and gave us the gift of his Son who died on the cross for our eternal life. Who would not want that? All I have to do is look around at God’s creation, the beauty! Proof to me there is a God, and I want to be part of this Kingdom one day. I’m not without sin, but know that through prayer, reading the word, and surrounding myself with other believers, I’m a lot closer to salvation than I was before. I have my mother to thank for the journey back.

Thank you, mom! Love ya!
