When Jesus Christ, the incarnate God, the Son of man, dwelled among us, He uttered the following words: 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.' Before ascending into heaven, He promised us another Comforter, the Holy Spirit, not leaving us comfortless. After the fact, and ever since, every single Christian has had the opportunity to experience the kingdom of God on earth by means of His Holy Spirit, and not anymore through the physical presence of the Lord Jesus.
